Zusammenfassung

Im Rahmen einer stichprobenartigen Untersuchung zur Ermittlung potentieller Ersatzobjekte für Eingriffsmaßnahmen in Natur und Landschaft konnte am 4.1.2004 auf dem Gelände der ehemaligen Munitionsfabrik Dömitz der Erstnachweis des Grauen Langohrs (Plecotus austriacus) für Mecklenburg-Vorpommern erbracht werden. Der Fund von drei Tieren, darunter ein Weibchen, läßt eine Reproduktion im Gebiet vermuten. Das vergleichsweise weite nördliche Vordringen scheint in enger Verbindung mit den thermisch begünstigten klimatischen Verhältnissen des Elbtals zu stehen, da Funde im Umfeld bislang ausblieben. Vor diesem Hintergrund kann eine Verbreitung von R. austriacus für den Gesamtbereich der naturräumlichen Einheit Elbtal prognostiziert werden.

First record of the grey long-eared bat, Plecotus austriacus (Fischer, 1829), in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania

Within the scope of a random sampling to find compensatory objects for the natural environment it was possible to discover Plecotus austriacus for the first time in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The species was found on Jan 04 2004 on the premises of a former ammunition factory in Dömitz. The finding of 3 individuals, including a female supports the assumption for reproductive activities in the area. This comparatively far northern advance seems to be connected to the thermical favourable climatic circumstances of the Elbe valley, as there were no findings in the surroundings. Against this background, the distribution of P. austriacus can be predicted for the whole area of the natural landscape unit Elbe valley.
