Zusammenfassung

In einem Vergleich der Ergebnisse aus verschiedenen Grabungen bei Goslar, in Rübeland, bei Scharzfeld und in der Einhornhöhle werden die dabei jeweils angefallenen fossilen Chiropterenfunde der rezenten Fledermausfauna im Harzgebiet, speziell der des Landkreises Osterode am Harz, qualitativ und quantitativ gegenübergestellt. Besonders bemerkenswert sind die fossilen Funde von Wimperfledermäusen (Myotis emarginatus), die heute in Norddeutschland nicht mehr vorkommen, sowie die relativ große Anzahl an Kleinhufeisennasen (Rhinolophus hippo sideros) und Bechsteinfledermäusen (Myotis bechsteinii), deren Verbreitungsdichte gegenwärtig viel geringer als früher ist. Der Vergleich über einen Zeitraum von Jahrtausenden umfaßt weitere Aspekte, auf die im Rahmen der Artabhandlungen aufmerksam gemacht wird.

Comparison of the fossil and recent bat fauna in the district of Osterode/Harz and the surrounding of the Harz

In a comparison of the results of different excavations near Goslar, in Rübeland, near Scharzfeld and in the Einhorn cave, the respective fossil finding of Chiroptera of the recent bat fauna in the Harz region, especially of the district of Osterode/Harz, are discussed quantitatively and qualitatively. The fossil findings of Geoffroy's bats (Myotis emarginatus), which are nowadays no more occuring in northern Germany, are especially noticeable, as well as the relatively high numbers of lesser horseshoe bats (Rhinolophus hipposideros) and Bechstein's bats (Myotis bechsteinii), whose distribution density is nowadays much less than in former time. The comparison over a period of thousends of years comprises further aspects, which are addressed in the species chapters.
